Why take Latin?
Latin looks great on college applications and is especially useful if you're planning to go to medical or law school. Even you're planning to go directly into the workforce after high school, Latin is the language for you! A customer who speaks only Latin may walk into your establishment, and your boss will be so impressed and grateful for your linguistic skills that she'll give you a raise and promotion. It happens.
But I already took Spanish or French in middle school!
If you adored Spanish or French, you could take that language along with Latin. Spanish and French are both derived from Latin so Latin will really help you. If didn't adore French or Spanish, take a risk and try a new and better language!
Will learning Latin help me take over the world?
Absolutely! As you know, Caesar learned Latin and bonum Caesari, bonum servo. Not that we're calling you a slave, oh slave. (That's called the vocative case.)
The A.P. Latin class came to my middle school! Oh my gosh, they're soooo cool! Can I have their autographs?
Pending the receipt of your course selection form, you are entitled to a free autograph from Lore, Leah, or Pat. There is a $0.20 surcharge for the autograph of any other A.P. Latin student and a $0.50 surcharge for the autograph of Chris Balin. All proceeds go... err, somewhere.
